MySQL GUI Usage

Commonly, every single MySQL GUI usage is very similar. Here I provide you an example of the one I personally used for everyday coding, which is Navicat Premium.

Let’s say you have a local server with default credentials like this :

Host : Localhost

Username : root

Password : root

That’s all you need. Now let’s set it up in Navicat Premium.

  1. Create A New Connection

    Click top left button to add New Connection, and then choose MySQL.

  2. Fill in Your MySQL Client Credentials

    Based on credentials above, let’s fill them in the corresponding fields.

  3. Test the Connection

    Just click Test Connection button. If everything is ok, then it will look like this.
